Q: Do I need to be there when my Skip is delivered and collected?

No. Once your booking details have been confirmed and your payment processed, your Skips and Scrap driver will be able to deliver and collect your Skip in accordance with your instructions without anyone needing to be there. Your receipt will be sent to the email address you provided with your booking details.

Q: Can the bin be placed on my nature strip?

If the Skip is to be placed on public land (such as the nature strip bordering your property) you will need to contact your local council to determine if you require a permit. We recommend having the Skip placed on privately owned land wherever possible to avoid additional fees for permits. Q: How high can I fill the bin?

Regulations ensure we must, and do, comply with NSW Roads safety rules and regulations. Skips can therefore only be filled to the rim of the bin. No boards or similar materials are to be used to make the Skip hold more rubbish. In the event that your Skip bin is left on site due to non-compliance with these rules, a non-pick-up fee will be applied. You will also be required to re-pack the Skip to conform with the regulations before another pickup is organised, at your own cost.

Q: How long can I hire the Skip for?

Skip hire for removal of waste is generally 2-3 days (although same day collection/pick-up and longer hire periods are available on request and can be quoted upfront). Upon submission of a booking, a Skips and Scrap sales representative will be in contact with you to confirm the price and terms of service. If you are happy to proceed, our representative will process your payment and confirm your hire details.
