  • Dishonoured cheques will incur a fee.

No. Once your booking details have been confirmed and your payment processed, your Skips and Scrap driver will be able to deliver and collect your Skip in accordance with your instructions without anyone needing to be there. Your receipt will be sent to the email address you provided with your booking details.

Can the bin be placed on my nature strip?2022-06-22T18:09:08+10:00

If the Skip is to be placed on public land (such as the nature strip bordering your property) you will need to contact your local council to determine if you require a permit. We recommend having the Skip placed on privately owned land wherever possible to avoid additional fees for permits.

Skips and Scraps also offer the service of organising the permit application for you.

  • Process Permit for Customer: Lake Macquarie $95
  • Process Permit for Customer: City of Newcastle $100
How high can I fill the bin?2022-06-22T18:08:35+10:00

Regulations ensure we must, and do, comply with NSW Roads safety rules and regulations. Skips can therefore only be filled to the rim of the bin. No boards or similar materials are to be used to make the Skip hold more rubbish. In the event that your Skip bin is left on site due to non-compliance with these rules, a non-pick-up fee will be applied. You will also be required to re-pack the Skip to conform with the regulations before another pickup is organised, at your own cost.

What type of rubbish is not permitted in the Skip?2022-06-26T23:42:31+10:00

We are committed to protecting our environment and minimising landfill where we can. While we collect most of the rubbish associated with building, renovating, gardening, and landscaping, spring cleans, site cleans, scrap metal and more, the following items are not permitted in your Skip:

  • No food or liquid

  • No Asbestos or Asbestos Containing Materials (eg. Fibro cement sheeting, corrugated asbestos roofing, insulation)
  • No Soil/Clay

Specific items incur additional charges. If we organise Council permit for placing a Skip on public land, permit costs apply. All prices shown include GST.
